01 May 2011 Sunday -  We went to Sungai Lembing by car from about 1.00 p.m. in the afternoon. Before we began our trip, we ate hearty meal of seafood noodles. The whole trip from KL to Sungai Lembing was about 3 hours. We finally arrived at 4 p.m. When we arrived, we met up with everyone else. Altogether there were 35 of us. Not long after we arrived we rented a few bicycles at  the foot of a path uphill. As I was not so good at cycling, driving uphill was very tiring and I was exhausted when I finally reached the top.  At the top, we reached the Sungai Lembing Museum and decided to see the museum. Finally I knew the history of Sungai Lembing. It used to be famous for its mining areas underground which was filled with gold, jewellery, crystals coal and tin ores.  These are the wide range of equipments used to dig out the underground resources. This is my first experience in being able to see the world below us and I have gained more knowledge about it from this vi...

A wonderful day with my friends~

Image
Aunt Young Hee invited me to her house last Thursday . As I thought of not disturbing others too early in the morning I was the last one to arrive at her house. When I arrived, they (Joshua and Joel) had already finish reading their storybooks while I just started. After reading,we played for awhile... At noon, Aunt Young Hee made some sushi for us. It was very delicious. Later in the afternoon, we watched Megamind in 3D .Using those 3D glasses to watch movies make them pop-out of the screen making the movie more thrilling . In the early evening, we went to Joel's friends house to swim . There was another friend there, he was Gerard. Joel, Gerard and I did some swimming competition. As we were swimming halfway, a rainstorm  befell us. We had to stop swimming. After a short bath, our parents also came. All of us ate at the cafeteria. We ate beefburgers and went home

Visit to The Farm

Image
Aunt Ebbie organized a trip for us at 'The Farm'. 50 of us booked the whole farm for 2days 1night .  'The Farm' was constructed in the 50's. Our rooms looked like olden time rooms. There were no air conditionals, only fans were provided. Either we sleep in the room with double decker beds or sleep on the wooden floor by placing mattresses on it at the second living room.  'The Farm' rears poultry, dogs, turtles, tortoises and fishes. There is a big pond where anglers can give a try on their rods. I tried a bit but didn't get any fish because....... I forgot to bring bait. Hahaha!  Besides that, we had some activities in the plains such as badminton, skipping rope and hula hoop.

Family Table Tennis on Wii~

Image
Today, I tried to post my blog in two languages. My parents encouraged me to use more Chinese. (P.S : my Chinese is quite weak =D) 今天,我试用两种语言写我的部落格。我的父母鼓励我多用华语。(P.S: 我的华文不太好) After two months of being busy, my parents can finally spend quality time with me together. We played Family Table Tennis.  忙碌了两个月,我的父母终於有时间陪我一起玩乒乓了。 I like this Character Select page. It looks very much like a happy family. Too bad I am the only child in my family. If only my cousin sister Natalie was here we would have been able to play the doubles.  我喜欢这一幕。就像 全家福。 可惜我是独子,没弟妹。如果我的表妹Natalie有在我们就可以玩双打。 Dad VS Mom. . . 爸爸对决妈妈。。。 Dad wins! Terrific! 爸爸赢了!真了不起!

Jungle Trekking - Templer Park

Image
02-05-2010----- After our jungle trekking visit at FRIM, the next day my uncle planned a visit to Ulu Yam Waterfall. We thought he knew the way to the waterfall but actually he didn't know it. We drove and drove but we didn't find the place so we decided to go to Templer Park. When we reached there, it was already 2.00pm. We took about one hour walked into a jungle to find a waterfall, on the way at the jungle we saw a troop of monkeys, some of us were scared and suggested to turn back but we didn't, Brother Ray said we should not easily give up...... Finally we reached  the waterfall, we were so happy and forgot of our weary feelings. Thank God because He gave us strength to continue our jungle trekking without fail, finally being able to find the destination and have a wonderful day with our family.    Leeches are common animals found in dampy places, such as the forest. These blood-sucking creatures look like branches when they have not absorbed blood . When we re...

Rainforest And Canopy Walk (FRIM)

Image
01-05-2010 was Labour Day, Aunt Ebbie organised a half day trip to FRIM   (Forest Reserve Institute Of Malaysia) which is located at Kepong, Kuala Lumpur. This was the first time we walked through a Malaysian rainforest to help increase our understanding of the forest. This was a  back-to-nature experience, we were enjoying the floral, fauna, landscapes.......We also crossed a waterfall and had a picnic over there. The highlight of this trip is the canopy walk above the tree tops. The canopy walkway was 200m long, it was constructed in 1992 with assistance of the Germans for scientific studies of above ground for seeing both flora and fauna. By the time we reached the beginning of the walkway. We were terrified as we moved warily along the walkway because the canopy was built 30m above ground level. Various species of palm trees were below the canopy. I found this beetle, but its horn is still very short, My Dad told me the horn will grow longer as the beetle...

Winter Solstice - Glutinous Rice Ball

Image
22/12/09 Winter Solstice (Dongzhi 冬至)is a traditional festival of the Chinese people. My grandma told me "Glutinous Rice Balls(tong yun) " is the Winter Solstice special food, is a circle made with glutinous rice flour desserts. That is a meaning of reunion and fulfillment. On this day, we eat glutinous rice balls as a symbol of family harmony. My grandma filled some peanut into the balls, it was very tasty.   This year my mum is very busy, she didn't have time to prepare the glutinous rice ball, but she bought a pack of  the frozen glutinous rice ball which is filled with black sesame, I think I can try it this weekend :)

My first 2D Animation :)

Image
10-12-2009 Yesterday I went to Aunt Jenny's restaurant, I have an animation class from Ervin (my classmate). He is my IT teacher ^^, He taught me the 1st step of animation. This is my first creation, I decided to put the Malaysia Flag on my character. Of course I said thank you to Ervin, he is very generous and kind, without his sharing I think it is not easy to learn the making of animation, hope I can learn more animation in the future.

My dad Wii Fitness Age was 51 and my mum H a h a ...... she was shocked, her Wii Fitness age was 74 years old. They said they should exercise more next time. Oh look! My Wii fitness age was 55 years old, it was older than my Dad =( I must challenge them and I believe I can get a better result next time. I must improve in my balance and stamina. But most importantly my speed. Anyway, I found that Wil is not only a play station it also can let our family exercise together in cooperation.

Hi 4 Aman freinds, that was already 3 months I left the school, I miss you all. I know that you all are going to celebrate the "Children's Day" tomorrow, I have actually been invited by Aunt Kim (Nicole's mum), but I am so sorry that I can't go to SRSS tomorrow, because my exam is on next Monday, and these few days my teachers are giving us some revision, so my mum hopes that I won't skip class. Gem Island Trip from 19-09-09 to 22-09-09

Image
During Hari Raya, our school has an extra holiday for a week. Our family joined the church cell group to a 4days 3nights trip to Gem Island, Terengganu. That was an awesome trip, from morning until evening we went snorkelling. Our leaders are Uncle Andy and his wife, Pastor Elaine. They are experienced and they taught us a lot of skills in snorkelling. We stayed in Gem Island Resort & Spa. That is the only building and resort on this small island, although not many Malaysians know this island but it is well-known by other countries. We found a lot of foreigners especially Japanese tourist at the resort. p/s: too bad.... We can't bring along our camera with us while snorkelling, so we didn't capture any snorkelling photos It was the jellyfish season during our trip. My cousin was seriously stung by a jellyfish (as shown in the picture above) Luckily, Pastor Elaine told us that lime cures jellyfish stings and we have to apply it to my cousin's leg. The photo on the le...

This holiday our church camp was held at Kuantan, my mum invited my aunts and cousins to come along. We didn't capture so many picture during the camp because we all have our activities. These are the photos we captured by the seaside during our free time. I was writing my name on the sand. Joel + Henry = Good Buddies This is what I drew.We put our feet to prove we have a difference. These are my aunts and cousins. The first from the right is my mum.

My Dream Instrument

Image
Friday (21/08/09), we went shopping to buy something for the church camp in Kuantan which is going to be held on (29/o8/09). While shopping, we passed by a musical instruments shop. My mom wished I can play saxophone. There was a saxophone music class. The salesman said if I want to learn saxophone they wouldn't provide the instrument, so I must buy a saxophone for the class and it costs RM2100++. Wow! So expensive. My mom think I cannot carry and always train myself daily with the heavy saxophone so she thought about it and she also want me to grow bigger first. Why am I so short!?? I'm thinking how can I find a second-hand and cheaper saxophone then maybe my mom will let me learn the saxophone class.
