A Postcard From Japan ~

Image
This afternoon, I received a postcard from my Blogger friend. She let me know that Japanese like to send postcards to their friends during the summer period each year. I am very happy to get this postcard as my hobby is drawing. This picture is a manga character.  I think I will try to draw a manga in another post.

Giraffes ~

Image
When I read the article from    O ur daily bread 13-04-10 ,  I suddenly got an idea to post something on my blog. I suddenly had a mood to make an origami giraffe, after seaching for a while, I found a video of how to fold origami giraffe. It is easier to learn it step by step. It is not so easy, this is the third one after I threw the 1st and the 2nd failures :p Notes about Giraffes Giraffes  are the tallest land animal and can grow up to 18 feet tall.  The giraffe's neck can be up to 6 feet long, and its tongue can stretch 20 inches.  Each animal's coat has a unique pattern, muck like human finger prints.  The giraffe has one of the shortest sleep requirement of any mammal, which is between ten minutes and two hours in a 24-hour period, it's means their averaging sleeping hours are 1.9 hours per day only (*o*)

Chinese Painting 3

Image
That was quite long time I didn't practise the chinese painting. Today I have a mood and picked a page from "The basic of learning Chinese Painting" book and I wanted to learn to draw Golden Fish and Bubble Eyes Fish. Before I draw the picture on the rice paper (that was a type of thin paper special for drawing the chinese painting) I try some draft on the old newspaper. After five minutes, I started to follow the book instruction step by step ....... First, I drew the fish head, after that the body and the tail.... last drew the eyes and touch up some line on the tail. Yeah! I finished four numbers of fishes. Lastly, I added some float grass and some stones. Okay, finished! Related topic click Chinese Painting 1 and Chinese Painting 2

My first 2D Animation :)

Image
10-12-2009 Yesterday I went to Aunt Jenny's restaurant, I have an animation class from Ervin (my classmate). He is my IT teacher ^^, He taught me the 1st step of animation. This is my first creation, I decided to put the Malaysia Flag on my character. Of course I said thank you to Ervin, he is very generous and kind, without his sharing I think it is not easy to learn the making of animation, hope I can learn more animation in the future.

Malaysian Animation

Image
This morning, I saw an article from the newspaper. The creators of the famous Upin Dan Ipin series now have their own studio called Animonsta Studio, their first titular character, Boboiboy . I really feel great that Malaysia have our own cartoons. At the same time, I also found an article "Animation workshop for students", there will be an open animation competition for students age 10-14 years old which is organising by Disney. * You can click the coloured word "Upin Dan Ipin" & "Boboiboy" to the link of the trailer This competition will start next year. They will chose a team of 2-3 students from 10 chosen schools. This competition is for creating a 2 minute clip based on their own "alien encounter" inspired by Stitch. This is my first try drawing Stitch with a pencil. This is also my first try using a computer but I only drew the head. I really hope I can download a free software of 2D animations!!! I hope if I can have a chance of partici...

My 1st Clay Creation

Today, I found a piece of clay on the ground. I picked it up and the first thing I ever thought of was, Pablo Picasso who was a famous artist. So I started creating an artist. After a while, I finished the Clay Artist. My mum says that it looks cute but it is dim among colours. She told me she would buy some coloured clay for me next time.
